Instructor: Winston Liu
Class type: Take Notes! | These are our classic "lecture-styled" classes, where you're given lots of in-depth information by a knowledgeable instructor. Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject.
WHAT YOU'LL GET IN THIS CLASS:
- A deep-dive, instructor-led tasting.
- 7 wines from across South America
- Individual cheese plate.
- Special pricing on all featured wines.
Our Wines of the Global South series is both an overview and a deep-dive into some of the world's most incredible wine regions from across South America, Africa, and Australasia. Join us for one part or all three--these are meant to be stand-alone classes as well as part of a larger story! Last stop: South America! With a winemaking tradition dating back to the 1500s, South America has been producing wine longer that anywhere else on our tour of the Global South. From its humble origins of monk-planted Mission grapes to the global powerhouse that is Argentinian Malbec, South American wine has a remarkable (and delicious) story that includes phenomenal wines from unique varietals. Wine specialist Winston will guide you on a deep-dive tasting through 7 wines from all along the Andes and the backbone of the continent to the lush pampas of Patagonia!
