Instructor: Troy Seefeldt

Class type: Take Notes! | These are our classic "lecture-styled" classes, where you're given lots of in-depth information by a knowledgeable instructor. Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject.

On May 24th, 1976, almost 50 years to the date of this class, a panel of French judges participating in a blind wine tasting in Paris did the unthinkable: they ranked American wines higher than French wines. This judgement announced that American wine had arrived on the global wine scene and that a wine from Napa could not just compete with but outperform the finest French Bordeaux and Burgundy. This landmark ruling has carried the title of "The Judgement of Paris" ever since.

Join us for a celebration of this ruling as we "relitigate" the Judgement of Paris with our very own blind wine tasting pitting American wines against European wines. Our resident wine expert and globetrotter Troy will be your bailiff while you'll be the judge to determine if this ruling will be upheld or overturned!

WHAT YOU'LL GET IN THIS CLASS:

  • A deep-dive, instructor-led tasting.
  • A blind tasting of 6 different wines.
  • An individual cheese plate.
  • Special pricing on all featured wines.
  • Some lasting memories!
