Welcome to our newest 3-part wine series, featuring the wines of Spain & Portugal! Each class will highlight a new region of the Iberian Peninsula, and we'll explore both the classics and the little-known grapes and traditions. Join us for one part or all three--these are meant to be stand-alone classes as well as part of a larger story!

Join us for the second part of our Wines of Iberia series as we cross the border from Portugal into western Spain! We'll sip through famous wines from Galicia and Castilla y Leon while also trying some lesser-known exciting new varieties. These storied regions are perhaps among the most famous of Spain--come find out why! In addition to a curated guided tasting, you'll enjoy a personal cheese plate.

IMPORTANT STUFF: 

  • Participants must be 21 years old.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. If you cannot attend a class you have registered for, registration may be transfered to another France 44 class if given a 48+ hour notice.
  • Please notify France 44 with any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Parking in our lot is limited, however, parking is available on 44th Street, France Ave, and Drew Ave S.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:

Emily Cochrane

Emily is a distinguished France 44 alum! She started working on the wine team at France 44 in 2022 following many years working in Twin Cities restaurants, and she has her WSET Level 3 in wine. Her favorite styles of wine are always changing, as is the dynamic world of wine! Her fridge and bar are consistently stocked with cheap bubbles, way too many jars of pickles, and Fernet Branca.
