Class type: Take Notes! | These are our classic "lecture-styled" classes, where you're given lots of in-depth information by a knowledgeable instructor. Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject.

Get ready for a knock-down, no holds barred, battle to the death (ok, maybe not death) between two giants of California winemaking: the Napa & Sonoma Valleys.

In one corner we have SONOMA! [Rowdy cheering, applause.] Casual, laid-back, boho-chic. Known for their Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, Zinfandels, and Bubbles. While in the other corner we have NAPA! [Cheering, applause, someone's whistling.] Ritzy, opulent, and luxurious. Celebrated for the Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignon, and their many estates like Mondavi. With our resident wine expert and globetrotter Troy as the referee, you'll try wines from each valley in a head-to-head best of 3 tasting to decide who is the champion!

Participants must be 21 years old.
Tickets are non-refundable. If given a minimum of two days (48-hour) notice, we can issue you a class credit or transfer your tickets to a future class.
Please notify France 44 with any dietary restrictions or preferences.
Parking in our lot is limited, however, parking is available on 44th Street, France Ave, and Drew Ave S.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:

Troy Seefeldt

Troy joined our wine team in 2024. He has his CWP and WSET III certification in wine. He left his technology career behind to pursue his passion in wine and wine travel. When Troy’s not selling our guests delicious wines, he’s more than likely traveling through wine country in Europe with his wife and fellow wine lover, Jenn. Troy loves bringing his wine adventures to life through his wine recommendations.
