Join us in welcoming Joe Henry, owner and ambassador of J. Henry & Sons, a fourth-generation family farm making grain-to-glass whiskeys on the outskirts of Madison, Wisconsin. As we sample through their remarkable line-up of hand-crafted bourbon and rye, we'll learn about the unique qualities of heirloom grains and the interesting science of distilling, aging, and blending. We'll try a variety of whiskeys with different profiles side-by-side so you can find your perfect pour.

Whether you're looking to expand your knowledge about growing and developing heirloom grains, curious what aging barrels in a 100-year-old dairy barn is like, or just want to try some fantastic midwestern bourbon and rye, this will surely to be a night to remember!

IMPORTANT STUFF: 

  • Participants must be 21 years old.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. If given a minimum of two days (48-hour) notice, we can issue you a class credit or transfer your tickets to a future class.
  • Please notify France 44 with any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Parking in our lot is limited, however, parking is available on 44th Street, France Ave, and Drew Ave S.
  • France 44 is wheelchair accessible.
