Class type: Take Notes! | These are our classic "lecture-styled" classes, where you're given lots of in-depth information by a knowledgeable instructor. Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject.

For most of us, Manchego is the most identifiable cheese from Spain, but certainly not the only one! What other cheeses are from Spain? In this class we will taste cheese from throughout Spain, departing from the arid plateau of Manchego's La Mancha and venturing beyond to the rolling foothills of Catalonia, Extremadura, and the Balearic Islands off the Spanish coast. Each cheese we encounter along the way will tell us a little something about Spain – its history, its people, and its food. You'll enjoy a guided tasting of Spanish cheese, complete with beverage pairings!

WHAT YOU'LL GET IN THIS CLASS:

  • A deep-dive, instructor-led tasting.
  • An individual cheese plate of the finest French fromage.
  • Featured beverage pairings.
  • Special pricing on all featured beverages.
  • After hours access to the Cheese Shop.
  • Some lasting memories!

IMPORTANT STUFF:

  • Participants must be 21 years old.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. If given a minimum of two days (48-hour) notice, we can issue you a class credit or transfer your tickets to a future class.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:

Sophia Stern

Sophia has been with the France 44 Cheese Shop since 2019, though she has worked in cheese since 2015 in her hometown of Brooklyn, NY. She combines her passion for food and wine in pairing classes and loves to tell stories of the farmers and cheesemakers who make the cheeses we adore possible.
