Instructor: Austin Coe Butler
Class type: Take Notes! | These are our classic "lecture-styled" classes, where you're given lots of in-depth information by a knowledgeable instructor. Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject.
WHAT YOU'LL GET IN THIS CLASS:
- A deep-dive, instructor-led tasting.
- Individual cheese plate.
- Curated beverage pairings.
- Special pricing on all featured beverages.
- After hours access to the Cheese Shop.
To much international scandal (primarily originating from France) a recent TasteAtlas poll of the 100 Best Cheeses in the World crowned Parmigiano Reggiano the number 1 in the world. What's worse (for the French, at least) was that over 1/4 of the 100 Best Cheeses were Italian. And for good reason. Piquant, peppery Pecorinos. Ethereal, mousse-like Robiolas. Gorgonzola so sweet and creamy you can eat it like gelato. And of course, the King of Cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano. Each of these cheeses tells us something unique about Italy. Join our Education Director and resident Italophile Austin on a gastronomic sprint across Italy, tasting the best cheeses Italy has to offer along the way--all paired, naturally, with exquisite Italian wines.
