Join German winemaker Carolin Spanier-Gillot of the Kühling-Gillot and Battenfeld-Spanier Estates and our friends at The German Wine Collection for one of our most anticipated classes of the year and the very first introduction of these two estate's wines to the United States! The superstar wines of the Rhein will be on full display as Carolin guides you through her family centuries-old estates of Kühling-Gillot and Battenfeld-Spanier. Kühling-Gillot is nestled on the Roter Hang or "Red Hillside" of Nierstein and Nackenheim while the estate of Battenfeld-Spanier rests on limestone. The incredible geology of this land is responsible for producing some of the greatest German wines, from Rieslings, Spätburgunders, Feinherb, Chardonnays, Pinot Blancs and other distinct varietals like Silvaner. Get to know the nuanced details and stories of these wines through the lens of one of the most exciting producers making wine. Attendees will enjoy curated France 44 cheese & charcuterie, as well as special pricing on all wines tasted.

Carolin has been managing her family's estate of Kühling-Gillot since 2006. She is a mother of two, oenologist, businesswoman, and nature lover, with a gift for hospitality.
