Take Notes! | These are our classic "lecture-styled" classes, where you're given lots of in-depth information by a knowledgeable instructor. Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject.

For over a quarter century, deep in the highlands of Jalisco, Mijenta has produced additive-free and sustainable tequila that has been the standard of excellence. Mijenta's Maestra Tequilera and sommelier, Ana María Romero, believes that every single aspect of the process matters, which is reflected in the craft that goes into each stage of Mijenta’s journey. From the mineral-rich, red clay soil their agaves are grown in, the slow roasting of the agave piñas, and their emphasis on native yeasts, slow aging, and barreling to compliment and not mask the flavor of the tequilas, each stage of production tastes of the heart of Jalisco.

In short, Mijenta is one of our favorite producers of tequila. (Can't you tell?) In this class, we'll sip through their exceptional offerings, from their classic blanco, reposado, and añejo to their elusive and limited-edition Maestra and Symphony series bottles. Whether you're a die hard agave nerd, or just want to try a little tequila, this is a great way to pass an evening! We'll have light fare to snack on during the class, and all attendees will have special event pricing on the featured tequilas.

• Tickets are non-refundable. If you cannot attend a class you have registered for, registration may be transferable to another France 44 class if given a 48+ hour notice.
