Instructor: Emily Cochrane
Class type: Take Notes! | These are our classic "lecture-styled" classes, where you're given lots of in-depth information by a knowledgeable instructor. Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject.
WHAT YOU'LL GET IN THIS CLASS:
- a deep-dive, instructor-led tasting
- 7 wines from across Central Italy
- individual cheese plate
- special pricing on all featured wines
Our Wines of Italy series is both an overview and a deep-dive into the country's most important wine regions. Join us for one part or all three--these are meant to be stand-alone classes as well as part of a larger story! Our journey picks up in Central Italy. Stretching from the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany all the way to the coast of Abruzzo, Central Italy is steeped in a rich history of winemaking. Whether you enjoy the powerful wines of Brunello di Montalcino or charming bubbly Lambrusco, Central Italy has it all. Join wine specialist, Emily, as we taste the classics and the lesser-known gems of this iconic region.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:
Emily Cochrane
Emily started working on the wine team at France 44 in 2022 following many years working in Twin Cities restaurants, and she has her WSET Level 3 in wine. Her favorite styles of wine are always changing, as is the dynamic world of wine! Her fridge and bar are consistently stocked with cheap bubbles, way too many jars of pickles, and Fernet Branca.
